A Bihar black stone stele of Tara. 9th century

A Bihar black stone stele of a bejewelled Tara standing in tribhanga on a double lotus, the right hand in varada, the left hand holding a now lost lotus. To her right stands the pot-bellied Ekajata with a garland around her neck, to her left Marici with an axe. On the back-slab two pillars and drapery. Two pillars and drapery on the damaged back. 9th century.
