A Bidri huqqua base of typical bell form tapering to a thin neck and flaring mouth, the body decorated with a lozenge pattern, filled with stylised peacock feathers in silver onlay, the "eyes" of small brass inlays. A bit damaged. Central India, Bidar. Late18th century.
