Two Tibetan thangkas from a set of the sixteen arhats, each with two arhats sitting in a green and mountenous landscape. a) Arhat Vanavasin with his fly whisk and arhat Bhadra with upraised right hand in the mudra of dharma explication. With two handmarks to the reverse. b) Arhat Nagasena holding a staff with a stupa finial and a water vessel in his hands, arhat Gopaka with a book in his right hand. With thumb mark to the reverse. Both: Gouache and gold paint on cloth. 18th century. (2)
