A Yueyao chicken-head ewer and a celadon-glazed lion candlestick. 4th/5th century

A Yueyao chicken-head ewer, the globular body with a curved handle and a short chicken-head spout, covered overall with a glaze of greyish-green tone, the unglazed concave base burnt red in the firing. Eastern Jin dynasty, 4th/early 5th century. b) A Yue celadon-glazed lion candlestick, modelled as a crouching lion with head raised and a trumpet-shaped aperture to the back, covered with remains of an olive-green glaze. Western Jin dynasty, 3rd/4th century. (2)
