A polychromed wood Okina mask. 19th century

A polychromed wood Okina mask of a laughing old man with a wrinkled face and a moveable lower jaw. The face painted white, black lacquer to the reverse. Inscription in red lacquer signed with a kaô and dated Kaei kinoe-tora (1854). Poor condition. 19th century.
