A large bronze temple gong. 16th century / the stand 19th century

A large bronze temple gong inscribed on the rim Tenbun gonen (1536) sangatsu hachinichi Miidera. One long horizontal crack. Set on a Chinese-style red-lacquered wooden stand on five cabriole legs with details in gold. Strong traces of usage, a cushion, and a drumstick of leather and lacquered wood. 19th century. (3)
