A Kyôyaki vessel. Late 19th century

A Kyôyaki vessel in shape of a bucket with a flat bar handle and a loop ring, all covered by a cream-coloured glaze and decorated in iron-black with a poem inscribed Rengetsu. Cotton bag and wooden box. Late 19th century. In addition a washi card with the postmark 54.7.12 (12.7.1965), addressed to Kimura Masaaki in Tokyo, on the reverse the Rengetsu poem and two lines of comments.
