A large double gourd-shaped bronze vase. 20th century

A large double gourd-shaped bronze vase decorated with spirals in relief and a patina in various shades of brown. Signed on the base with an impressed mark Bôshû. 20th century.
Height 30.1 cm

Yashima Bôshû (1925-2001) came from Takaoka in Toyada prefecture and studied under Katori Masahiko (1899-1988). He received a number of awards for his works exhibited at the Nihon kogei-kai.
