Two bronze vases. Second half 20th century

Two bronze vases, a) with a small ring handle, seal mark at the base Eiju. Tomobako, inscribed Shûdô kazari-mimi hanaire, signed and sealed Eiju, and b) with a flat openwork lid and a green patina, engraved signature at the base Ichiyo. Tomobako, inscribed Shûdô hasami kabin, signed and sealed Ichiyô. Second half 20th century. (2)

Tsuda Eiju (1915-2000) studied with Tsuda Shinobu (1875-1946) and was adopted by him. He variously exhibited at Nitten and in 1962 won the Grand Prize. Habara Ichiyô I lived from 1914 to 1993, Ichiyô II was born 1946.
