A Satsuma long-necked vase sumptuously decorated in gold and enamels with Chinese dignitaries and samurais in reserves surmounted by phoenixes and textile patters to the neck. At the base impressed mark reading Kawai. Chip to the lip, a little warped. Late 19th century.
