A wakizashi in koshirae. Late Edo period

Blade length 52,5 cm, shinogi-zukuri, chû-kissaki, hamon: gunome-midare, itame hada, nakago: ha-agari-kurijiri, one mekugi-ana, Signature illegible.
Koshirae: Shakudô tsuba decorated with dragons amidst clouds, iron fuchi-kashira, kurigata and kojiri, each decorated with a fan and clouds. Shibuichi kozuka signed Naoyasu and kaô. Saya of lacquer with shredded straw and inlays of mother-of-pearl. Wooden box, inscribed Kanesada go wakizashi hitofuri and to the inside of the lid: Present for Walter Bussmann, Great Japan Tokyo Nishi...ya, Shôwa 10 (1935), 3rd month Hon'ami Yasaburô, kaô and seal.
