A Dupont "mallette de Voyage" travelling case, circa 1930

An elegant travel toilette set in black and red leather, almost entirely fitted out with black Chinese lacquer bottles and boxes. With mirror, gold plated metal borders and toilette articles in gold and chrome plated metal. White lacquered tin compartments to the right. Includes two original keys with company signet. Embossed to the edge of the lid S.T. DUPONT 8bis RUE DIEU PARIS. All lacquered elements signed in red in Chinese characters. Some small elements lacking. Slight wear to the outer edges of the leather. 28.5 x 47 x 13 cm.
