A Thai or Laotian bronze figure of a Buddha Shakyamuni seated in meditation on a high, stepped base, the right hand in bhumisparsha mudra, the left hand in dhyana mudra, spiky hair curls covering head and ushnisha and a separately cast ketumala. Black patina, the curls gilded, the eyes inlaid. 19th century or earlier.
