A very large bowl with irregularily inverted rim with horizontal line and crack design to the outside. Black to the inside and the base. Tomobako, the lid inscribed Retsuryûsen mon kabin, the reverse signed Satô Kan saku and sealed Kan. Northern Japan, Fukushima prefecture. Late 20th century.
Height 23.2 cm; diameter 50 cm

Satô Kan (born 1947) lives in Aizu-Hongo in Fukushima prefecture.
