Wakizashi. 16th/19th century

A koto wakizashi, blade length 54.7 cm, shinogi-zukuri with chu-kissaki, hamon: choji-midare of nie and nioi with sunagashi, boshi: kaen, mokume-hada, nakago: suriage with two mekugi-ana, mumei. 16th century.

Koshirae: shakudô tsuba, pierced and engraved with snowflake and bamboo design, shakudô fuchi with gilt mitsutomoe-mon and associated kozuka and kogai, saya: roiro. 19th century. (2)
