A Tibetan gilt bronze figure of Manjushri. 17th/18th century

Standing in tribhanga on a modern wooden base, both hands in front of his breast in vitarka mudra and holding slender stems of lotus flowers that rise to the shoulders where one supports a sword, the other a manuscript, wearing a diaphanous dhoti, a shawl and adorned with beaded jewellery, pendant earrings and a three-point crown that surrounds a topknot.
