A gilt bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni. 17th/18th century

Seated in meditation, the right hand in bhumisparsha mudra, the left hand is held forward in mudra, spiky curls cover the head and the ushnisha surmounted by a spherical jewel. The robes with elegant drapery enclose the slender body and are decorated to the borders with flowers and scrolls in engraving.
