Set with a large bottle-green buff top cushion-cut tourmaline of ca. 25 ct (20.17 x 18.5 x 11.3 mm) surrounded by rose-cut diamonds Indistinctly marked. Bezel: 2.5 x 2.3 cm. Ring size 61. Weight 16.0 g.
Germany, presumably last quarter 19th C.

According to family tradition, the ring originally belonged to the Abbot of Münsterschwarzbach Abbey in Franconia, and was thus known as the "bishop's ring".
