Literature

For this type of reliquary, see the reliquary with the rope of Christ in the Aachen cathedral treasury (attributed to Prague, third quarter 14th century). Cf. a reliquary made by the Parler workshop in Prague (cf. cat.: Die Parler und der schöne Stil, vol. 2, Cologne 1978, p. 708 f). This design was also frequently used for monstrances, such as the example in the Schnütgen-Museum in Cologne, inv. no. G563 (Cologne, 2nd quarter 15th century).
