A large lacquered and gilded wood figure of Amida Nyorai seated in meditation on a double lotus throne above a low lobed base, the hands held in amida-jôin above the feet, a mandorla carved with clouds and lotus flower inserted into the base, both urna of glass. Extensive overpainting and restoration to the neck. Along with five pieces of writing including printed segments of the Lotus Sutra, possibly from the inside of the figure. 18th century.
