A Kuro-Oribe chaire of elongated shape with two small handles, covered by a brown speckled glaze, ivory lid, silk bag, wooden box, inscribed Oribe (in katakana) Mi (no) und shû (hide), along with two other silk bags, with a silk cushion each, all in a black lacquer box inscribed in makie Tôyama (Distant Mountain). Mino area. 17th century.
