Two Meissen porcelain cups with grotesques in relief

With original saucers. Blue crossed swords mark with star, gold L to the teacup and saucer, the cup and cover and saucer with 30. in purple and s. in gold (to the cup). The finial reattached. Chip to the beaded border of the lid.

Literature

The motif of the cups derives from the Service Arabesque which was produced by Berlin KPM around 1786 and is now housed in the Kulturgeschichtlichen Museum Osnabrück (see Klarner, Wedgwoodarbeit, in: Keramos 231/2016, p. 68 f.).
