A Tibetan Buddhist ritual crown with five petals. 19th century

Depicting the five transcendental Buddhas (tathagatas) Vairocana, Ratnasambhava, Amogasiddhi, Amitabha and Akshobhya, each Buddha in a metal framework with embossed Buddhist symbols. Groups of monks, especially the Kargyupas wear these crowns during initiations. Gouache on cloth, mounted on wood. Wear.
