A boxwood netsuke of a Hanasaka Jijii sitting on a tree stump and throwing ashes from his basket that make the withered tree blossom again. The plum blossom branches of ivory. One himotôshi lined with green-stained bone. Signed Gyokkei on an inlaid ivory tablet. Mid-19th century.
