An Augsburg silver medallion commemorating the Salzburg protestants

The front of the hollow medallion with a chased depiction of a Protestant family leaving their home in Salzburg engraved with a biblical verse. The back with a depiction of Frederick William I greeting the families in Prussia. The medallion contains 17 hand-coloured numbered engravings with depictions of religious life in Salzburg, and the insides of the lids contain two maps inscribed "ERZBISTH. SALZBURG" and "KÖNIGREICH PREUSSEN", one signed "Daniel Höckhinger exc. A.V." The colours fresh, the paper connections between the engravings removed. Diameter 4.5; H 0.5 cm, weight 23 g.
