A silver gilt drinking vessel modelled as a rearing horse

The oval plinth designed as a rocky outcrop with shells and a large crab. Upon this stands a model of a horse rearing up on its back legs, its tail waving. The finely chased head and neck of the animal are removable and form the lid of the vessel. H 16 cm, weight 307 g.
Unmarked, presumably South German, 17th C.
