A German silver-mounted ivory tankard

The domed oval foot and hinged lid set with 32 coral cameos amid chased acanthus, the curved handle set with four additional cameos and a herm with a cameo forming the face. The cylindrical ivory body of the tankard carved with a continous bullfight scene. The finial formed as a bull supporting a shield and the thumbrest mounted with a branch of coral. H 34.5 cm.
Unmarked, 2nd half 19th C.
