Displaying a pair of birds on a blossoming plum branch and narzissus in takamaki-e, black and red lacquer on a fundame ground. The heads of the birds, the blossoms and buds of carved mother-of-pearl, coral and gold foil. To the inside nashiji and fundame. Signed Kajikawa Bunryûsai with kaô in red lacquer. Some gold foil missing.
