A five-case inrô. Late 18th/early 19th century

Displaying on one side a crane on a pine tree with three young birds in a nest, and a crane in flight on the other side, all rendered in takamaki-e, hiramaki-e, black, brown and a little red lacquer on a loosely strewn nashiji ground with clouds embellished with kirikane. Sign.: Jukakusai Hisataka and kaô. Crack to one case. Wood ojime.
