A signed mortar with figural handles

Cast bronze with golden greenish brown patina. Cast with two bands of arabesques including a severely worn coat-of-arms and masks in medallions. With caster's signature below the rim "MEISTER CONRAT DVICKER ANNO 1608". C-shaped handles with standing male figures, also with severe wear. H 14.2, D 15.1 cm. Weight 4.1 kg. Including a later pestle.
