A Tyrolese painted iron mortar

Cast iron with bismuth polychromy. Cylindrical vessel with flared rim and angular handle. Painted red to the outer body and the upper section of the interior. Cast with three coats-of-arms, including one with the Tyrolese eagle. Painted with a red and white striped band above the base. H 13.3, D 13.5 cm. Weight 2.0 kg. Including a corresponding pestle.
