A very large Ayutthaya bronze figure of a Buddha. Thailand. 17th century or later

Standing on a moulded rectangular base, the right hand held in abhaya mudra, the left hand hanging down, the robe covering both shoulders spreads out along the legs. The whole figure is covered by a thick gilded lacquer coating, flaking off in places. The ushnisha surmounted by a separately cast flame ornament.
