An expressive Sinotibetan gilt bronze figure of Chaturmukha Mahakala. 18th/19th century

The four-faced deity striding in alidhasana on a lotus base, holding a chopper and a skull cup in his primary hands and a sword in his two upper hands, wearing a tiger skin cloth as well as a billowing celestial scarf over the shoulders and adorned with beaded festoons and a garland of severed heads.
