Layered agate cameo (41.1 x 30.6 mm) with a finely carved Neoclassical depiction of a maenad in profile against transluscent ground, surrounded by borders of blue enamel and Oriental demi-pearls. With a hook to the reverse for a former pendant. Hallmarks: Paris gold guarantee (Tardy 161). H 4.9 cm. Weight 30.38 g.
