A lacquer suzuribako. 19th century

On the lid in gold and silver hiramaki-e a stag, hagi and susuki on a roiro ground, on the inside of the lid a crescent moon and susuki on hirameji, inside the box an inset tray for brushes and one with a suzuri and a waterdropper of gilt copper. Signed to the reverse of the lid Shiomi Masanari in seal shape. Wooden box inscribed suzuribako and a second wooden box lacquered black.
