A bronze and champlevé enamel ruyi sceptre. 18th/19th century

In shape of two intertwined branches with side branches with small peaches and lingzhi, the head shaped by a large peach and twigs with leaves and fruits. Collector's inscription in black ink at the back.

Provenance

Probably collection Dr. Emil Riebeck (1853-1885), German mineralogist and ethnologist. The arrangement of the numbers, the word China and the name are very similar to the inscription on a Tibetan bronze figure of an Amitayus, sold at Lempertz, Cologne, 7./8.12.2012, lot 87
