A small Gothic one-handled mortar

Cast bronze with mottled golden brown patina. Of tapering form, resting on four spandrel feet. With several bands of moulding and angular handles. A crack to the base below the handle, a t-shaped crack to the underside. H 13.2, D 11.5 cm. Weight c. 1.2 kg.
Attributed to Northern Germany, 15th/16th century.
