Literature

In her standard work “Deutsche, Niederländische und Französische Renaissance Plaketten” (Munich 1975, vol. II, pl. 58) Ingrid Weber mentions four ornaments, presumably from a contemporary work of decorative art from the early 16th century, whose decor and density allow this piece to be attributed to the Upper Rhine Region of Southern Germany.
