A pair of Hameln silver candlesticks

Silver Moulded baluster-form shafts with twist fluting issuing from square bases. Engraved with weights “25 2/8 lth” and “24 1/2 lth” on the underside and with owner's monogram “S.E.v.M.”, presumably referring to a member of the aristocratic family of Meding from Lüneburg. Brands: BZ Hameln with wardein sign and tasting master stamp B for 1750 - 54, MZ Georg Justus Hurlebusch (1752 - 81, Scheffler Lower Saxony No. 1296, 1300, 1307, 1308) H 19 cm, weight 718 g.
