A pair of Lower Saxon silver candlesticks

Silver. Baluster-form shafts issuing from square bases. Marks: A candlestick with BZ Braunschweig, Ältermannszeichen H for 1736/37, MZ Ludwig Spitta (1699 - 1742, Spies No. 8, 518b). The second with BZ Wolfenbüttel, MZ Heinrich Daniel Weigel (1741 - 73, Scheffler Lower Saxony No. 2343. H 19.8 cm, weight 367 and 334 g.
One piece with assay mark of Braunschweig and maker's mark of Ludwig Spitta, one with assay mark of Wolfenbüttel and maker's mark of Daniel Weigel, around 1736 – 50.
