A large lacquer box. 19th century

Of rectangular shape with a flat lid, displaying three cranes standing by a coast with waves washing against the shore, the inside of the lid decorated with five minogame underneath a pine, the sides with reeds, waves and little rocks, all in gold and silver takamaki-e and hiramaki-e on a back ground with mura nashiji. Black lacquer to the inside and base.
