A Laotian bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni. 16th/17th century

Seated in meditation on a high stepped base, the right hand lowered in bhumisparsha mudra, the left hand in dhyana mudra above the feet, wearing a closely clinging sanghati with a sash draped across the left shoulder. Chip to the tip of the flame ornament above the ushnisha.
