A bronze shrine lantern. 19th century

With a six-sided, slightly globular body on four splayed feet, six upturned roof elements and a jewel-like topping with a large ring, the panels of the body, including one door, displaying leafy scrolls in openwork. Turned into a lamp. Along with a paper issued by Heisandô and a letter by a certain Ishii, dated 25.11.1953.

Formerly in a Shintô shrine in Kyoto
Collection Baron Furukawa, according to the type written paper stamped by the well-known antique shop Heisandô & Co., Ltd. in Tokyo, and dated 25.1.1954
