An ivory okimono netsuke of a farmer and a horse. Mid-19th century

On a three-sided base, a farmer with brushwood bales on his head and leading a packhorse carrying further bundles of brushwood, one with two flowering twigs. Very finely carved, polished and engraved with a golden-yellow patina.
