A small Nuremberg silver gilt columbine cup and cover

Round lobed base supporting a foliate clasped baluster form shaft and waisted cup with large droplet shaped lobes. The decor of the lid conforming to that of the foot and with a scroll finial. Interior of the lid inset with a plaque engraved with an armorial and monogrammed MICV NPIN. H 26.5 cm, weight 182 g.
Marks of Hans Kindtsvater, 1622 - 29.
