A slip-inlaid celadon Korean cosmetic box. Goryeo dynasty (918–1392), 12th century

A circular box with flat cover, decorated in sanggam technique and inlaid in white and black slip with eight chrysanthemum sprays around a central stylised chrysanthemum and encircled by a band of black-slip dots within white-slip circles and with white-slip fretwork around the perimeter.
