Two Korean water-droppers. Joseon dynasty (1392-1897), 18th/19th century

Each with an air hole at the top. a) A blue and white water dropper of square form, set on four short bracket feet and molded with a small cylindrical spout to one side, decorated on the flat top in underglaze blue with a seascape, each of the sides decorated with an abstract floral sprig framed by four short brackets and set within a thin blue outline. b) In the shape of a curled carp bringing its tail to meet its mouth, carved to depict his eye, scales and tail and covered with a clear glaze over cobalt-blue wash.
