A leather and ivory smoking set. Late 19th century

The tabakoire of leather with a tiger, fruits and foliage in relief painted with brown and grey lacquer and applied gold and silver foil, the iron kanamono in shape of a tiger's head, the details of gold and silver, the ojime in shape of a malachite pearl, the ivory kiseruzutsu of musôzutsu type, undecorated (chip to the rim). Fitted box with a packet of tobacco still in its original paper wrapping.
