Antikglatt model with beaded rim. The well decorated with a view of Peacock Island and the Havel, the border with Neoclassical gilt tendrils. Blue sceptre mark, brown imperial eagle mark, pale blue v mark, incised marks. Restored. D 24.3 cm.
C. 1825.

To celebrate her marriage to Prince Friedrich of the Netherlands (1797 – 1881), Friedrich Wilhelm III's youngest daughter, Luise of Prussia (1770 – 1840), received an extensive dinner and dessert service. It was decorated in the fashion of the time with topographically accurate views of the kingdom of Prussia, fine faux cameo designs and opulent floral garlands. The engraving upon which this view is based was published by L.W. Wittich in Berlin.
