An 18k gold watch chain with a jeweller's loupe

18 kt Gelbgold. Belle Epoque chain comprised of gold links with scrollwork decoration combined with a jeweller's loupe (10x magnifying) with finely chased butterfly motifs set with brilliant-cut diamonds (in total ca. 0.08 ct, H/I, vs) and calibrated natural rubies, sapphires and emeralds. Hallmarks: Fineness “18 K”. The spring ring clasp of the necklace replaced. Chain L 77 cm. Weight 33.64 g. Loupe 2.8 x 2 cm. Weight 41 g.
Ca. 1900, the magnifying glass 1980s.

This jewel encrusted loupe was almost certainly a custom made work.
